Robinsons Retail group selects ARC retail business intelligence platform

Philippine retail conglomerate Robinsons Retail group will implement ARC retail business intelligence platform from Manthan Systems for its multiple retail store brands. Robinsons has chosen ARC after several rounds of competitive evaluation that included several cross-industry BI software providers.


Robinsons operates several retail store brands including Robinsons Department Store, Robinsons Supermarket, Handyman / Do It Best Center, and Robinsons Appliances. Robinsons is also a franchisee of Topshop, Topman, Dorothy Perkins, Wallis, Warehouse, Toys R Us, True Value and Howard’s Storage World. The implementation is expected to start with the rollout beginning with Robinsons Supermarket.

Network Monitoring System Appliance

CoreControl® NMS is a Network Management System Appliance built by Multi-Core Technology Resources Inc., to provide cost effective solution to execute the set of functions required for controlling, planning, allocating, deploying, coordinating and monitoring the resources of a network from 100 elements and up to unlimited number of elements to manage and monitor.

It was made to be your STAFF to monitor, alert and report to you 365/24/7 EVERYTHING happens to your network. From routers up to the applications. A comprehensive tool to proactively inform you the faults, downtimes, warnings via historical and graphical reportings. The CoreControl® NMS has the capability to inform you via web, email or SMS anytime, anywhere!

Monitoring

CoreControl® NMS can monitor directly from the server to gather the status. It can monitor remotely with a single CoreControl ® NMS using SNMP and TCP Polling to measure the availability of the servers, services and databases by monitoring the disk space, CPU, memory, processes, users and networks’ utilization. The alert levels are color coded to see if an element is on the critical, normal, warning or no information status for easier identification of alerts.

      

Alerts

CoreControl® NMS event alerts are triggered by changes in status and sent to designated entities through email, help desk or SMS for immediate notification. Alerts are also visible on the web interface through periodic update of the pages. Status pages are color coded to indicate overall status of viewed system that has an alert ticket system that requires the administrators to acknowledge the alert and indicate next course of action to resolve the condition.

Unacknowledged alerts will trigger subsequent alert indicating that the condition remains unresolved and these alerts are stored and documented for reference.
